Play Spielberg’s Boom Blox On Your Mobile on the go | (1)
In case you haven't heard, Steven Spielberg's new game called Boom Blox for the Wii is making waves. It has very intuitive controls, is excellent for players of any age, and is a great way to bring families together to play the Wii together. If you're anything like me, play it once and you're very likely to get hooked. I'm a huge fan of multiplayer casual gaming on the Wii. That and beer, but that's a (mostly) separate story. This morning I discovered that EA and Steven Spielberg have also released a mobile version of Boom Blox. The mobile version seems ...

Polls Are In: Boom Blox Definitely Rocks on the go | Comments Off
Last week we announced the release of Boom Blox for Wii, a collaboration of Steven Spielberg in conjunction to create a family-friendly interactive strategy game for Wii. Over the weekend I had a chance to check out the gameplay and controller scheme and it's really fantastic. There are basically three main kinds of games within Boom Blox: One is where you throw a ball to hit point blocks and even try to ricochet the blocks off of targets in the background to get points. Next you can play a Jenga like game either with friends or against them. Lastly there's a shooting gallery where ...

Steven Spielberg’s Boom Blox for Wii on the go | (1)
Steven Spielberg has long been a gamer and last year latched onto the Wii as a great opportunity to create casual games that are fun for the entire family. He's been working on Boom Blox in collaboration with EA Games, which was just released for the Wii. When the Wii came out, he announced that he would be working on this project, which is not his first foray into the gaming world. It looks sort of like 3-d Tetris or live Jenga, but with all the interactiveness that Wii can offer. You also get to destroy things by grabbing or shaking ...

Poledancing Game Coming for Wii? gear, play | Comments Off
Peekaboo Poledancing is looking for a partner to help them develop a pole dancing game for the Wii. Let me repeat that, a POLE DANCING game for the wii. Now, before you get all up in arms that this is somehow not the greatest game ever, let me point out that the game is to help provide the aerobic benefits found only from pole dancing. While you're waiting for the Wii-mote stripper pole, you could always get their low tech, easy to setup, travel with you anywhere poles for $100-$130.

Here Wii Go: Wii Mobile Screen gear, play | Comments Off
If you love playing the Wii as much as I do, you'll want to share it with friends. You may even never want to let it leave your side. Now Chinavision is making it easier to bring your Wii with you everywhere you go. They've created a 7" LCD monitor that attaches to the side of your Wii and folds down against the top of your console when not in use. They've taken care not to cut off ventilation to your console and to include picture controls that allow you to mount the monitor anywhere in your car and adjust the ...

Tego Guiter Hero 3 Skins play | (2)
I'm a huge fan of Guitar Hero 3 for Wii, but not with the standard vanilla guitar. While it does come with some stickers that you can plaster all over the white plastic, it somehow misses the mark in terms of style. I checked out some of the skins that I've seen at electronics stores and was similarly unimpressed. So what else was I to do, but create my own skin? Tego offers custom cell phone and GH3 skins that you can apply and remove whenever you would like. You can choose the background color, insert text, or choose a picture ...

Hands on with the Wii Zapper play | Comments Off
Nintendo recently released a 'Zapper' gun accessory to allow two-handed machine gun like grip for shooting games, while keeping the nunchuck available for movement. I had a chance to play around with the Zapper and Link's Crossbow training. I'm a huge fan of shooting games in general and it was an enjoyable play. It's not really a full game, as we managed to beat it (albeit with all Bronze) in just one night. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable mini-game. The grip is slightly awkward and takes a while to get used to. As a righty, I ended up using my ...
