7 Twitter Clients for Mobile Phones on the go | (5)
It's hard to find a way to follow all of your Twitter updates without being interrupted by a constant barrage of noise. While it's easy to update your twitter status via SMS, keeping track of your friends on the go would require near-constant text messages. You can subscribe to @ replies, but sometimes you just want to scan through the latest and greatest from the Twitterverse on your phone. I'm hoping for an integrated IM and Twitter application like what Digsby is for the desktop, which seems to be Yahoo OneConnect's goal. Until then, check out these mobile Twitter tools: ...

Thomas Vander Wal Speaks at AOL work | (0)
This afternoon I had a chance to listen to a talk by Thomas Vander Wal, the innovator that coined the term folksonomy circa 1994. I first learned about this capability from Douglas Karr's Marketing Technology Blog. Apparently if you ask Twitter customer support very nicely, they might be able to enable this feature on your account. I've noticed that there are a lot of different standpoints on this particular issue on Twitter. Some people seem to feel obligated to return the follow for everyone that adds them. Others are a bit less open and seem a bit less accustomed to the anonymous attention. ...

AOL Acquires Bebo for $850 MM work | (0)
<3 This morning AOL CEO Randy Falco announced that AOL is acquiring Bebo, the third largest social network behind Myspace and Facebook. With over 3.5 monthly unique viewer, Bebo is the number one social network in the UK and New Zealand. Bebo resides in a space between Myspace and Facebook in that it is inclusive of teens and college students. It also strikes a nice balance between the rigid design of Facebook and the garbled mess of Myspace in look and feel. Bebo allows users to skin their profiles in order to add their own ...
