    Noted iPhone hacker Core has just gotten the open source torrent client Transmission to run natively on the iPhone! I know that I predicted that the SDK would bring us limited useful applications, but I may have been wrong. I'm not sure that the UI is quite ready for prime time, as you can tell by the above screenshot, but that is likely to be a much easier issue.
