    By the end of 2007 Americans were sending text messages more often than calling to communicate with their friends and families. The most pronounced figure is from those 13-17 years old, who send an average of 1742 SMS messages per month. This contrasts with the 18-24 crowd who send 790 on average. The average number of text messages for all users weighs in at 357 as compared to an average of 204 calls.     I stumbled across this site where frisky Indian mobile phone users can find a mate via SMS messages. Yahoo's Mobile Dating site allows you to register and find potential partners by sending cryptic text messages such as: date find age1 age2 location (optional) Ooh. Talk dirty to me Yahoo. This is not mobile web 2.0 at it's finest. It seems more like trying to hook up with chicks in a morse code chatroom to me, but maybe if they come up with an iphone interface. hmmmm.
