Our (Counter) Culture Is In Danger on the go | (1)
The passing of George Carlin this past weekend represented much more than the loss of one of the funniest, edgiest comedians of all time. It also underscores the dwindling number of counter culture visionaries left in American culture. In the past few years, we've lost pivotal figures in the evolution of our culture like Timothy Leary and Hunter Thompson to the point that it's hard to point out any significant counter culture figures remaining in modern society. Now all that we have left are Youtubers performing stupid human tricks and celebutants as mascots for our materialistic and money-obsessed society. Everyone is ...

Is the Mobile Web for Weekend Warriors? on the go | (2)
A recent BusinessWeek article providing analysis on the mobile web dubbed it the Weekend Web. I think this is an interesting and somewhat apt nickname, although I'm not sure it really catches the most important concepts driving mobile web adoption. It's somewhat natural to see mobile web usage spike on the weekend. After all, the most hardcore web users are likely to work in jobs that keep them behind a computer screen during office hours. Mobile Projection: Device or Future Feature? on the go | (0)
Earth Trek just announced their new 90-805R Mobile Projector, touting it as the smallest projector in the world. At just 4"x2" and only 1" tall it boasts 22" diagonal projection from a unit the size of a mobile phone. So far, it looks as though it accepts input from flash cards or AV and no word on USB. It also has a built in speaker and a battery included that lasts 1-2 hours. That sounds fine for an impromptu presentation, but you'll want a plug nearby if you're planning to use it for watching a movie. Earth Trek is touting ...

Play Spielberg’s Boom Blox On Your Mobile on the go | (1)
In case you haven't heard, Steven Spielberg's new game called Boom Blox for the Wii is making waves. It has very intuitive controls, is excellent for players of any age, and is a great way to bring families together to play the Wii together. If you're anything like me, play it once and you're very likely to get hooked. I'm a huge fan of multiplayer casual gaming on the Wii. That and beer, but that's a (mostly) separate story. This morning I discovered that EA and Steven Spielberg have also released a mobile version of Boom Blox. The mobile version seems ...
