One iPhone user in the Big Apple took his iPhone to the Genius Bar after experiencing a lot of dropped calls. After a diagnosis and conversation with the employee, he was told that his rate of 22 percent dropped calls was excellent compared to other users.
Apparently AT&T’s network in New York is so bogged down that iPhone users see about 30 percent of their calls dropped. That’s a level of service is downright unacceptable for the amount of money iPhone users pay per month.
iPhone users have a mandatory data plan on top of their minutes and a separate messaging plan that racks up to right around a 100 bucks per month (more or less depending on your options). How is it that AT&T can’t afford to upgrade its network to service these customers?
Hopefully Apple won’t stick with this dead horse much longer. The iPhone deserves to be available to a much wider customer base with service options that don’t just plain suck.
