Microsoft is having a huge week with the leak of information about the Microsoft Courier tablet and its Project Pink skunkworks phones getting a sneak preview. These are the latest concepts to come from teaming up Danger’s former Sidekick team with the Zune.
The Turtle (above) is interesting because of its unusual design, however it looks comfortable to hold. As long as it’s also easy to type on and the screen isn’t too small, it might drum up a decent following. Check out the Microsoft Pure after the jump.
The Pure is a much more standard design with a side-sliding keyboard. Both models manage to squeeze in a four-row keyboard and Sidekick’s have always had a pretty solid form factor.
What will be really interesting to see is whether software from the two companies works together or makes the devices unstable. Hopefully some components of the Zune player are also added in a meaningful way, but it may be too soon to hope for deep integration between all these technologies.
