Not exactly. More accurately, you can use it with any GSM SIM that has a data plan associated with it. That’s a huge difference.

The phone still requires provisioning and doesn’t give you complete access to the data directory.

Did anyone successfully set up Android Dev Phone to work with AT&T? I received my phone today and need some

Not exactly since the G1 runs on GSM networks. So basically this particular Android phone will work on AT&T and T-Mobile in terms of US carriers.

Hopefully someone will announce a phone for CDMA networks (Verizon and Sprint) soon!

Question: Does this mean I could use the unlocked G1 with my Sprint service? The Sprint plan I just left for T-Mobile is far preferable.

I have until December 18th to remove my phone.
