As we continue along in reviewing iPhone Blogging applications, we come to Blogwriter. This particular blogging tool is interesting mostly because it’s an iPhone blog editor and feed reader built into one application. Blogwriter could also be good for iPhont photoblogging as it attaches the pictures to the top of posts in a large size. Seriously large. Like 480 x 640 comically large.
So as I said, depending on your needs Blogwriter is a fairly full-featured iPhone blog application for the middle-of-the-road price of $4.99. It may seem like I’ve been griping about image handling in a lot of these reviews, but you might just take it as a hint.
Strengths:
Supports one blog account, auto-saves drafts, allows draft editing and includes a feed reader. It displays pictures really prominently, though it doesn’t allow you to change any attributes. Works on the MSN Live Spaces, WordPress and Blogger platforms.
Weaknesses:
The one lacking feature in the particular iPhone blogging tool is its handling of images. You can add images, but they will always appear at the bottom of the post. Personally, I like to put a teaser image at the top of the post and any additional images at the bottom (in case you couldn’t tell). If the image options improve, this iPhone blog editor will be a force to be reckoned with.
