GSM and CDMA are different protocols altogether. AT&T and T-Mobile are the other major GSM providers.

This phone will probably only work on Verizon for the moment.

I’m technically challenged so be patient but is CDMA Verizon’s version of Unicel’s GSM? I live in the woods so cell service is…Unicel is great in our area and I am not crazy about having to switch, especially to verizon as their customer service is…

Unfortunately Verizon and T-Mobile use different network protocols, so this isn’t likely to work anywhere but T-Mobile and potentially AT&T. I wouldn’t rule out a Verizon release of a CDMA version though!

Oooh! Sounds awesome. I need a new phone. My cell company – Unicel – is being sold, so I will probably switch companies as well. Verizon uses motorola phones. Would this phone only work with T-mobile?
