MeetMoi is a mobile dating startup out of the NYC area that allows you to find your match on the go, wherever you are. After checking out Dating DNA a few weeks ago, both their mobile and desktop interfaces are a real breathe of fresh air. Instead of having to register at your desktop to use their mobile interface, MeetMoi allows you to perform every function directly from their mobile web interface.
The registration path is simple and doesn’t require you to go through too many screens to get an account. It also works from basically any mobile phone instead of just the iPhone. You can also enter in a status similar to Facebook or Twitter and you can change your location easily to meet people while on a business trip or vacation.

From there, MeetMoi displays potential matches for you to wink at, favorite or send a message to. MeetMoi automatically displays a profile and you can message them or move onto the nest potential match. It’s a paid site, so you will need an account in order to send someone a message. I did notice that many of the profiles didn’t seem to have pictures, but you need to either email them a picture or log in from your desktop to upgrade, so it may just be a matter of time.
In order to protect your privacy MeetMoi never reveals the location of the people you’re messaging. However, it would be nice if you could search based on radius or set a filter to only display people within a certain radius. Hopefully they’ll be able to implement filters soon, but either way it’s a pretty cool service!
