Someone from XDA-Developers has gotten a barebones version of Android running on the HTC TyTn II, also known as the Tilt. Somehow they’ve gotten Android to run on top of Windows Mobile via an executable file or EXE. Apparently they haven’t been able to get the touchscreen or radio to work yet, and those may be difficult challenges.
The upside is that if Android can run on top of Windows Mobile it will be easier to run in on more handsets, though it may not be as fast as running it natively. One of the top HTC TyTN II ROM developers, Dutty, is responsible for creating this package. You can check out the method and the truly awful video in their forums.
