While this may not count as a full web browser like Opera Mini, Google2Go is an unofficial application that allows you to access all of the Google Mobile web applications via a tiny, lightweight application. It’s basically just a toolbar with the various Google mobile web services and a browser for them to load. This means that the application does not need to be installed and can be run from anywhere.
This is really along the same vein as AOL MyMobile and Yahoo Go! which are designed to enable access to multiple local and communication services on Windows Mobile. We’ll be taking a look at each of these applications next week.
Overall this is a novel application in that it won’t tap overly tap system resources. However, it’s not aware of it’s orientation and only looks halfway decent in landscape mode. If not for this usability issue I might keep it around, but it’s just as easy to bookmark the links of the services you use on your web browser.
