The Stalking Dave map shows you my location in near real time! I’m using cell phone triangulation tool Navizon to upload my current location from my Windows Mobile phone. Then I mash it up with Yahoo Pipes and display it on a Google Map. The map also shows my latest status update or blog post.
There are technical details on the Map page if you want to try it yourself. You can just copy my Yahoo Pipes module and map source code and make your own map, but be sure to think about whether you really want that information online. There is a lag in displaying the data, but there are still safety concerns.
While I did this using my Windows Mobile phone, you can track your location with Navizon using your iPhone, Blackberry, Symbian or Java-based phone.
