I’ve found a simple way to manage my status across twitter, facebook and wordpress. The cornerstone is really twitter syndication. I use twitter to update my facebook status using their facebook application. Then I used Twitter Tools, a WordPress Plugin written by Alex King, to link my status and blog together.
Twitter Tools plugin updates my blog with a new post every time I update my status and includes it in the rss feed. Plus it updates my status with a link to my blog posts whenever I publish a new article. That was it’s automatically sharing my new stories with all of my Facebook friends!
If only Myspace would get on the ball!

You should try ping.fm, it sync the status of the most popular social networks. Give it a go, it’s really cool.
Ludwig,
I guess that’s kind of the point is that there’s really no fantastic alternative. The web is fragmented across a multitude of services at the moment and neither Ping.fm nor social aggregators are an ideal solution.
I’ve stopped publishing my tweet digests in favor of a sidebar widget. It’s rare that I’ll publicize an article in my status message unless it is something I’m really proud of.
I do link my Twitter and Facebook status still, which may frustrate some Flock users, but that’s about it.
